Practical Assignment

Becoming an AWARE Coral Reef Conservation specialist doesn’t require training dives. However, we include two dives to enhance your understanding and exploration of coral reef understanding and protection.

During these dives, we’ll spotlight two examples of reef fish based on their diet, such as Herbivores, Carnivores, Benthivores, and Planktivores, to underscore the critical role of grazing in coral reef health.

Additionally, we’ll introduce you to the fundamental concept of Coral Watch, its mission, objectives, and provide a brief overview of the Coral Watch monitoring method.

As part of this assignment, we’ll capture some photos for social media sharing to educate our friends about the significance of being marine protectors.
